“I like to capture a moments glimpse of light and shade in an ever-changing scene”

“X T Sea”
Original commissioned painting by Rebecca Porter. Acrylic on Canvas.
My style of painting is modern realism. The graphic studies I undertook have led me to precision and attention to detail with the skill of rendering light to shade. The medium I prefer is acrylic on canvas with the application of acrylic diluted to give a flat appearance on the canvas. This technique is suitable for capturing an original for print form.
I am currently employed as a full time artist, collaborating with artists Jeff Gilberthorpe and Sapphire Frater on the ‘Icon Collection’ for the last six years. In that capacity, I have been to many art exhibitions in the USA, including the New York Art Expo, Sanfrancisco and Alberqueque. There have also been other art exhibitions in Hong Kong, Nice and Australia.
I donate one painting a year to charity, having supported the Leukaemia Foundation, the Red cross Tsunami Appeal and other charities in the past.
I love to paint commissioned works for friends and new clients – the painting displayed above is an example. If you would like to contact me, send me an email on rebeccacauser@hotmail.com – one of my favourite things is hearing from and reading about other artists.
