“I attempt to inspire an emotive response from the viewer, and capture their imagination. I express an extraordinary world which exists inside my dreams”

“Self Portrait”
Original commissioned painting by Sapphire Frater. Acrylic on Canvas.
My style of painting is a combination of both abstraction (gestural/expressionist) and realism. I like harmoniously resolving two conflicting contrasts in style. My artistic strength is in my originality and ability to successfully express my imagination on canvas. I am passionately ambitious and dedicated and my concepts are spontaneous and unique. I have studied contemporary art and have significant understanding. I prefer to work with acrylic and canvas. My biggest inspirations are life, jung, nature and many art movements. In particular, abstract expressionism, surrealism, fauvism and Dex Blaue Ritor.
I have been working as a full time artist for the past six years with CreatechArt Gallery, and have completed one year of a three year diploma course in Visual Arts.
I love painting commissioned works and have recently completed the self-portrait displayed above. If you would like to contact me, send me an email on sapphirefrater13@hotmail.com – I enjoy hearing from other artists and like-minded people.
